Dear Subscribers of H-Habsburg,
let me introduce myself as a new editor of H-Habsburg. I am an assistant professor at the Department of Austrian History, University of Graz. Before joining the University of Graz, I worked for the Institute of History of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. I earned my PhD from the University of Mainz and ELTE University Budapest. I am interested in a broad variety of topics and approaches related to the modern history of the former Habsburg lands; in particular, I have worked on the history of nationalism, historiography, and, most recently, global and transnational history. For my first book, The Monumental Nation: Magyar Nationalism and Symbolic Politics in Fin-de-siècle Hungary (Berghahn Books, 2016), I was awarded the Richard G. Plaschka Prize of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
Throughout the past years, I have found the content of H-Habsburg very instructive for my work and I am thrilled to join its editorial team now. Feel free to contact me for any matter.
Best regads and greetings from Graz,
