Since the last issue of Opera historica is dedicated to the era of the battle of White Mountain (Nov. 8, 1620), the Opera historica blog is bringing a report on an important conference on the era of Philip III. of Spain (reigned 1598 to 1621) which took place in Spain to commemorate 400 years since the death of the Habsburg king. It is also an occasion to commemorate the great historian of Habsburg Spain John H. Elliot who passed away recently.
