You will find here the program (+abstracts) of the conference "Electric Worlds. Creations, Circulations, Tensions and Transitions (19th-21st C.)", organized by the Committee for the History of Electricity and Energy, to be held in Paris, 18-19 December 2014:
The Contemporary History Workshop is a forum to discuss research on all areas of history in the 20th century. The workshop is open to all graduate students working across the field of contemporary history, regardless of geographical specialisation. We also welcome papers that discuss the broader thematic, methodological and historiographical issues relevant to the period and which address the challenges that face historians writing about the recent past. Papers should by 20-30 minutes in length, followed by questions and discussion over wine.

Apply for the 2015 Nuclear History Boot Camp
We are pleased to announce the call for applications to the 2015 Nuclear History Boot Camp, which will be held in mid-June next year. The Boot Camp is an intensive, ten-day immersion course in the history of nuclear matters. The program ranges from the evolution of nuclear technology to the origins and development of deterrence theory and nuclear strategy through the historical roots of today’s global nuclear landscape.

The papers have now been published in a special volume of Historical Social Research.
