Call for Papers to next ICOHTEC symposium, Saint-Étienne, France, mid-July 2018

Tammy Nemeth Discussion

    Bonjour,

International Committee for the History of Technology (ICOHTEC) will hold its next Symposium in Saint-Étienne, southeastern France, in mid-July. Our online submission system has been open for some time and we have had a very good start. The Programme Committee expresses its gratitude to all those who have already submitted their session, paper or poster proposals.  Those who still intend to send their paper proposals to our anniversary symposium but are at the moment engaged in other urgent tasks, the following may be a relief.  The deadline of the submissions to the 45th ICOHTEC Symposium has been extended by two weeks. You are welcome to submit your proposals by Monday 19 February 2018.

The Programme Committee specially appreciates full sessions of 90 minutes containing three or four papers. However, unconventional session formats, such as roundtable discussions on some focused topics, are also welcome,

Further information on the symposium, summer school and travel grants you find in the link: http://www.icohtec.org/annual-meeting-2018.html

Among various subtheme projects, you might be interested in a special call for papers dealing with energy history. Proposals to this session should be sent to me (timmyl@utu.fi) by the deadline is Monday 12 February. In the file attachment, you find this call and tentative session synopsis.

On the behalf of the Programme Committee

    All the best,
