This year, the Association of University Presses is holding its annual meeting virtually. Over the next two weeks, publishing professionals, librarians, and scholars will be talking about large and small issues of scholarly publishing. The Feeding the Elephant team will be posting brief reports and responses to individual sessions, and we would like to invite readers to take advantage of Feeding the Elephant to continue the conversation.
The modest idea behind Feeding the Elephant is to bring the different stakeholders of scholarly communications and publishing in the arts, humanities, and social sciences to think together about the field and how to best nurture it. So, whether or not you are attending the conference, we would like to hear your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions in response to individual sessions and posts. To join the conversation, simply use the reply box at the bottom of any post.
