Quality in Peer Review: An AUPresses Conversation

The Acquisitions Editorial Committee of the Association of University Presses (AUPresses) invites you to join a conversation about quality in peer review at 4 p.m. EDT on September 19.

This panel will bring together editors and academics whose work in book and journal publication will help us understand the different facets of “quality” in peer review. We will address the perennial issues related to the selection of appropriate reviewers and editorial delivery of peer review reports. We will then discuss the increasing complexity and potential of peer review in light of open review and digital projects.

Cheryl Ball, Director of the Digital Publishing Collaborative, Wayne State University Library System

Kathleen Fitzpatrick, Director of Digital Humanities and Professor of English, Michigan State University

Gita Manaktala, Editorial Director, MIT Press
