Fellow Historians,

I am looking to put together a panel proposal for the 2018 Organization of American Historians Annual Meeting in Sacramento, CA from April 12-16. The panel theme will be the American Cold War and Public Diplomacy in the “Third World.”

I am hoping to find co-panelists who can present papers on the international, foreign policy-related role of U.S. governmental agencies in Latin American, Asian, or African nations. My own paper will be on the cultural diplomacy efforts of the United States Information Service and U.S. Department of State in South Asia from 1952 to 1965.

If you have new research that you would like to present and that would correspond with the panel theme, please email me and include a brief abstract and brief CV to uquraishi13@gmail.com.

Information on the OAH conference can be found at http://www.oah.org/meetings-events/meetings-events/call-for-proposals/.

My Best,
