History in Crisis: Monuments

Historical monuments have become subject to recent debate and public protest as part of broader efforts to remember the legacies of conquest and colonization. In this panel event, we'll discuss historical monuments and debates surrounding them from U.S. civil war monuments to nationalist monuments in India. This panel event features Dr. Hilary Green (University of Alabama), Professor Hakim Adi (Chichester University), Professor Patricia Rubertone (Brown University), Professor Anindita Ghosh (University of Manchester), and moderated by Professor Diana Paton (Edinburgh). Event will take place via zoom and is open to all. For Zoom details, please register via Eventbrite.

Event will take place on 19 January, 2021
