The History Department of West Chester University announces a Call for Papers for its 5th Annual One-Day History Conference, to be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017. This year's theme is Pennsylvania's Global Connections. The conference will explore how Pennsylvania and/or Pennsylvanians have participated in wider global trends throughout history. Such topics might include (but are not limited to) travel, trade, tourism, immigration, transnational movements, and globalization. Papers from a variety of disciplines are welcome. Academics, archivists, public historians, independent scholars, and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Please submit a 500-word abstract with a short (2-page) CV to Elizabeth Urban at Deadline for submission is Friday, August 4, 2017. The conference is free and open to the public.
