Panelists for the Agricultural History Society Annual Meeting (Knoxville, TN, June 2023)

We are organizing a session on the transregional history of agroecosystems for the 2023 meeting of the Agricultural History Society. We hope to foster a conversation about how local agricultural practices, including water and land usage, labor organization, ecological change, and capitalistic schemes leaned on, were incorporated into and shaped global networks of capital, knowledge, and power. We are looking for scholars of various backgrounds interested in joining our conversation about agriculture, landscape, trans-regional history, and empire making.
