An interesting piece appeared on Spectrum News from the Bay Area on the devotion to Tonantzin in conjunction with the Cruz de Mayo in the Iztaccihuatl - Popocatepetl region.

The project "Sermones en mexicano: the catalog, study, and translation of sixteenth-century Nahuatl language sermons from the National Library of Mexico" of the Institute of Historical Research at UNAM invites those interested to participate in the forthcoming international conference "In teoamoxtli in teotlahtolli: New views on Christian texts in indigenous languages from New Spain." The conference will be held in Mexico City from August 21 - 23, 2019.

NBC reported on 94.1 Radio Indigena in California with 40 hours of programming in naitve languages, including Nahuatl.

I am happy to report that we have blocked off two sets of rooms for the conference. One set is at the Fairfield Inn, across the road from campus, and run $113 a night. We also have some rooms at the Days Inn, on the other side of campus for only $95 a night. The instructions on requesting from these blocks of rooms follow:
