Oral History in the Mid-Atlantic Region (OHMAR) Seeks Board Members

Melissa Ziobro Discussion

Oral History in the Mid-Atlantic Region (OHMAR) seeks a Secretary, a Communications Director, and several at-large board members.

OHMAR is a volunteer- run, non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and improvement of oral history. This body responds to the needs of those actively practicing or otherwise interested in oral history in the Mid- Atlantic region. OHMAR provides a forum for sharing information about the techniques and application of oral history, promotes standards of quality among practitioners, and assists those interested in the subject. Members include public and academic historians, librarians, archivists, teachers, folklorists, and independent researchers. See more here

The board meets once per month via conference call and works via email as needed. If you are interested in more information about a board position, please reach out to President Melissa Ziobro, mziobro@monmouth.edu. Elections will be held at our virtual meeting on April 30, but there may be instances where candidates run in absentia if necessary.
