The Essex Record Office (ERO) is seeking an Oral Historian / Project Co-ordinator to lead our National Lottery Heritage Fund project, "Communicating Connections: Sharing the heritage of the Marconi Company's wireless world". We are also seeking an Evaluation Consultant to evaluate the project.

The project will collect oral history interviews with former employees and others with connections to the Marconi Company in Chelmsford, Essex (UK). The full-length interviews will be added to the collections of the Essex Sound and Video Archive (part of the ERO), while clips will be used to create exciting engagement outputs to raise public awareness of this significant aspect of Chelmsford's history.

The Oral Historian / Project Co-ordinator will be engaged on a consultancy basis to lead the project, managing volunteers and liaising with other staff members to deliver the outputs. The Evaluation Consultant will lead a baseline survey at the start of the project, outline data to be collected throughout the project, and then collate the information to produce the Evaluation Report on the project’s completion.
