Seventh Annual Conference, April 6-7th, 2018

The Texas Oral History Association (TOHA), founded in 1983, promotes the use and good
practices of oral history research through a variety of programs and publications, including the
journal Sound Historian. Comprised of individuals representing diverse interests and
disciplines, the professional organization will host its seventh annual conference on April 6-7th,
2018, on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. This is also the 35th
year of the organization!
Join us for presentations from scholars, educators, students, history enthusiasts, folklorists,
family historians, and others who are showcasing their work with oral history. This year will
feature a preconference oral history workshop from BUIOH faculty members and TOHA board
members Adrienne Cain and Steven Sielaff, a Friday evening “Meet ‘n Greet” mixer, as well as a
special luncheon presentation by UNT Oral History Program Director and current OHA
president, Dr. Todd Moye.

for the conference is free with the exception of the pre-conference workshop ($25) and the
conference luncheon ($10). Associated fees are payable by cash or check at the conference
registration table. Please register by March 31, 2018, to ensure an accurate headcount and refreshments for events.
