Free Queer Oral History Webinar on February 24th, 10am PST

El Chenier Discussion

*Apologies for cross-postings*

Join The Archives of Lesbian Oral Testimony for an opportunity to develop interview skills during a life Facebook Webinar on Saturday, February 24th at 10:00am PST. Oral historian Elise Chenier will provide a brief introduction to what oral history is, conduct a short demonstration interview, and take questions from you, the audience. This event is suitable for everyone, even those with absolutely no experience doing an interview or studying the lesbian past.

Our goal is to help you create new oral testimonies so that we preserve our past and ensure that lesbian and queer same-sex attracted women's history is told and remembered. Absolutely no previous training is required, and all are welcome.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this with your students, colleagues, and social media networks. You can find out more about the archives at www.alotarchives.org and by checking out our Facebook and Twitter feeds @alotarchives

Is there any chance you will record this and make it available post-webinar?

I am very interested in both the content and the process, but I am not sure I can make it then.

Thanks
Lynette

Hello,
It is our intention to do exactly that, but be warned this is our first time doing a Facebook webinar, so fingers crossed we are successful in creating a recording!
Thanks for your interest,
Elise

We would just love to transcribe it for you as a donation. This is very exciting, I wish I could be online, too, but I won't be able to. Let me know if we can help, Elise.
