This year's deadline to submit a proposal for the SHERA-sponsored panel at CAA is April 15, 2023. Both complete sessions and sessions soliciting contributors are eligible. Sessions dealing with any topic in art and architectural history or visual studies of Russia, Eastern Europe, or Eurasia are welcome. To submit a SHERA-sponsored session, please email the following items in one .pdf file, with the subject heading “SHERA-sponsored panel at CAA 2024,” to shera.artarchitecture@gmail.com by April 15:
- Title and abstract (250 words max.) for the session
- CVs for chairs (shortened CVs preferred)
- If submitting a complete session: Names and affiliations of session participants (chairs, presenters, discussants), presentation titles, and abstracts (250 words max.)
Chairs must be SHERA members in good standing to submit a session. All session participants will need to be members in good standing of both CAA and SHERA if the session is accepted.
Notifications will be sent out by April 21, 2023.
The SHERA-sponsored session is guaranteed acceptance at CAA. The internal SHERA deadline to submit is April 15, 2023. This allows all applicants who are not chosen to still submit their sessions to CAA by the general call for sessions April 25 deadline.
