Probably everyone has received this directly from ASEEES before, but here is a last-minute reminder. If you have a proposal for a SHERA sponsored panel, send in right away to firstname.lastname@example.org
I am organizing a roundtable session discussing research methods and methodologies for ASEEES 2018. Description and contact info are below. Apologies for cross-posting.
I would like to organize a panel for upcoming ASEEES, Boston 2018. See the description and contact information below.
CFP: The Passion for Collecting: Collectors and Their Collections in 1800-1917 (working title)
Museum exhibitions are a complicated performance of several actors: a collector and/or donor, a curator and a museum, to name a few. This roundtable discussion seeks to interrogate and analyze the performances that yielded a plethora of American exhibitions of Russian and Soviet art in the 20th century. Some of the key performers in this exhibition history are undoubtedly known to most specialists in Russian studies: the eminent George Costakis easily comes to mind. Others may be known only to those who specialize in a study of the arts.
I am posting this on behalf of Alla Myzelev, the organizer of the panel at ASEEES, Boston 2018. The contact information is below.
CFP: Cultures of Soviet Dissent: Art, Material Culture, Fashion
I'd like to propose a panel on Igor Grabar for the 2018 ASEEES in Boston. If anyone is working on any aspect of Grabar's multi-faceted career - as painter, art historian, curator, restorer, bureaucrat, participant in wartime repatriations of trophy art, etc. etc. - and is interested in proposing a paper, I'd love to hear from you. Please email me at email@example.com. Many thanks, Wendy
