CFP: Chicago and the Civil War

Chicago History magazine publishes articles on various aspects—cultural, political, economic, social, and architectural—of the history of Chicago. Our Spring 2015 issue, which coincides with the end of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War and which will be published on April 1, 2015, will be devoted to the Civil War and post-war era in Chicago. We are seeking papers of 4,000-4500 words. Footnotes/endnotes are required and will be published. Proposals are due August 1, 2014; manuscripts are due October 1, 2014. Authors receive an honorarium of $500 upon publication.
