Readers of H-Local may be interested in some of the blogs dealing with local history over on H-Midwest.

  • Museums of Minnesota has posts from curators and archivists at local historical museums and societies. Each post highlights something from their collections or some other aspect of the work they do preserving and presenting local history.
  • Indiana Blog provides news and updates from various historical groups across Indiana.
  • Posts in The Badger Bulletin are written by Wisconsin Historical Society staff and discuss items from their collections, news from the WHS, and issues in the field.
  • Finally, Profiling Midwest Collections gives brief overviews of research archives and collections for scholars of local history throughout the Midwest.

Anyone interested in contributing to any of these blogs, or creating a new one dealing with Midwestern Studies, can write to the editors of H-Midwest at editorial-midwest@mail.h-net.msu.edu.
