Deadline March 3: Last Week for SSHA Submissions

Matt Nelson Discussion

This is is the final week we are accepting proposed papers and panels for this year's SSHA conference.  The deadline for submissions is Friday March 3.

“Changing Social Connections in Time and Space”

Montréal, Québec Canada

November 2-5, 2017

Submission Deadline: March 3, 2017

The Family History and Demography Network of the Social Science History Association calls for papers for a variety of panels that have been proposed by network members, and for proposals for additional panels.

We especially appreciate receiving entire panels, consisting of four papers, with panel chair and commentator, but also invite proposals for roundtables, book sessions, or single papers.  The list of panels that have already been proposed appear below. Please contact the panel organizer directly if you wish to submit a paper to it.

You may login to submit a panel or paper directly at (http://ssha.org). Only submit single papers to ssha.org when you are not part of a session to avoid double submissions. Graduate students are eligible to apply for travel grants to attend the annual meeting (http://www.ssha.org/grants). The deadline to apply for a student travel grant is March 3, 2017.

In recognition of Canada’s policy of official bilingualism, SSHA will accept paper presentations in either English or French for our meeting in Montreal. Sessions may be monolingual English, monolingual French, or bilingual English/French. Session organizers must clearly indicate which language(s) will be spoken at their session, and paper submitters must indicate if their paper will be delivered in French. All paper abstracts must be submitted with an English version, regardless of the language in which the paper will be presented. Please contact the Program Committee co-chair Barry Eidlin (barry.eidlin@mcgill.ca) with any questions regarding conference language policies.
