Assistant Professor of French-Francophone Studies
The Department of International Studies at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of French-Francophone Studies, broadly defined. We are particularly interested in candidates who engage in contemporary and historical approaches to transnational cultural production, and with demonstrated commitment to cross-border, comparative, and interdisciplinary research and teaching. Candidates must be prepared to teach in French and in English in the larger field of French studies, as defined by area of expertise, and in the interdisciplinary International Studies degree program. Scholarly research and publication record should be appropriate to a research-oriented department and university. PhD required by date of appointment. Native or near-native proficiency in French and English is required.
The department is home to International Studies majors and Modern Language majors and minors, as well as Classics majors and minors.
