Seeking Panelists for ACHA 2017 (April 15 Deadline)

Dear fellow colleagues,

I am a PhD student in American history at Catholic University, Washington, D.C. Now I am organizing a panel for the 2017 annual meeting of ACHA (American Catholic Historical Association) in Denver. 

The Panel is about the relationship between Catholicism and American state and empire-building during the earlier half of twentieth century.  I will do a paper about the controversial experience of an Irish Catholic Congressman, William Bourke Cockran, in the friar lands dispute between the US and Vatican after the Spanish-American War. Another panelist would submit a paper about Archbishop Francis Spellman's American Catholic career during the Second World War.
