Please join the Rutgers Nation and Empire Working Group for an online lecture and Q&A with Dr. Paul Kramer, “The Weight of the World: Transnational History as Critical Social Thought”.

The Nation and Empire Working Group is associated with the Department of History at Rutgers University, and is sponsored by the Graduate Student Association, the Center for European Studies, and the Rutgers British Studies Center, .

Dr. Paul Kramer is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Vanderbilt University. He specializes in US history, with an emphasis on transnational, imperial and global histories, American social thought, and the politics of inequality. He is the author of The Blood of Government: Race, Empire, the United States, and the Philippines (University of North Carolina Press, 2006).
