Why we need you

We are building a network of “expert commentators” who have experience writing for general, non-academic audiences. We are looking for journalists, researchers, museum curators, public historians, history buffs, independent scholars, academics, professors, and writers to provide commentary on important historical books and speeches that are in the public domain. Your commentary will live inside our beautifully designed Threadable app and will provide readers with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the text. Comments can provide historical context, alternative perspectives, criticisms or satire, connections to current events, or any other analysis that enlivens and enriches the book. Commentary should be smart and grounded in historical research, but also fun and engaging.

We truly believe that the key to Threadable’s success is not in the app, but in the talents and judgment of Threadable’s core team of commentators. We are creating a large and diverse set of voices and want your perspective! If you enjoy helping a wide readership discover the layered richness of history, we hope you’ll consider joining us.
