Anthem Advances in African Cultural Studies promotes the study of African cultures in various forms and examines all facets of the development of African civilizations from the medieval to the postmodern period. Broadly interdisciplinary, the series addresses manifold subjects in the humanities and social sciences, including sociology, anthropology, politics, linguistics, African languages and literatures, history and religion. The editor for this series is Joseph J. Bangura, Professor of History and Director of African Studies Program at Kalamazoo College. We are actively soliciting new book proposals for monographs, edited collections, reference books and textbooks in this series. Via our Anthem Impact program, this series also provides a vehicle for authors wishing to publish original, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific research at a significantly shorter length than previous publishing models have allowed (20,000-30,000 words).
