African or Middle Eastern History, Loyola Marymount University, Department of History
The Department of History at Loyola Marymount University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in African or Middle Eastern history, beginning August 2020. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 3 courses each semester, including lower-division courses that serve the University Core Curriculum and the major/minor (HIST 1050 Modern World History and HIST 1500 State, Society, and the Citizen in the Modern Middle East or HIST 1600 African States and Societies since 1800) and one upper-division course in the major.

Ph.D. by August 2020 is strongly preferred, but advanced ABDs will be considered.
