The Department of History at the University of Wyoming is partnering in a cluster hire in applied artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) and data science led by a new School of Computing. Through the cluster hire in Advanced Applications of AI/ML and Big Data in Social and Behavioral Science and Humanities we invite applications for a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2023. The position will be held jointly between the School of Computing (tenure home) and the Department of History.
Through this opportunity, the Department of History seeks a Digital historian with an emphasis on application of geospatial informatics, text analysis or data visualization. Those with specialties in Asian or Latin American History are especially encouraged to apply.
