The lecture series "Women and Myth" is dedicated to some famous women who have become myths. Their lives and works as well as the emergence and transformation of the myth referring to them will be examined and critically scrutinised.

Proven experts as well as young scholars and authors present real persons and famous figures from pop culture, literature and mythology. They deal with the question of how and why these women have become myths. Female rulers, scientists and artists as well as female journalists, actresses and media stars will be presented in lectures and panel discussions, which will take place from May to December 2022, partly online and partly in Haus der FrauenGeschichte in Bonn (House of Women´s History).
