Friends of New Jersey Heritage, a 501c(3) nonprofit that supports the stewardship of New Jersey’s historic resources, is seeking a social media intern for Journey through Jersey, an award-winning heritage tourism initiative launched by the New Jersey Historic Trust in 2017 with the goal of encouraging more people to visit and engage with New Jersey’s historic sites.
H-New-Jersey is open to anyone with an interest in the history of New Jersey, including but not limited to academic researchers, teachers, students, archivists, historic site staff, volunteers, genealogists, archeologists, historic preservationists, and just plain history buffs. H-New Jersey is sponsored by the New Jersey Historical Commission as a service to the state's history community.
Preserving New Jersey's Historic Collections: Best Practices for Nonprofit History Organizations A Two-Part Workshop Series
Whether a historical society or an historic site, the building and objects your organization stewards require responsible collections care. The New Jersey Historical Commission and the New Jersey Historic Trust are pleased to present Preserving New Jersey's Historic Collections, a two-part workshop series devoted to collections care for buildings and objects.
Part One Practical Stewardship: Caring for your Building
The 1772 Foundation, in cooperation with the New Jersey Historic Trust, offers capital preservation grants, up to $15,000, to nonprofit organizations for repair and restoration projects. The grants require a one-to-one match from the grant recipient.
Eligible applicants must have a 501(c)3 IRS designation. Schools and religious congregations are not eligible to apply.
Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 15, 2018. *Please note the application deadline is earlier than in past years.*
