Dear Colleagues,

Please join us for a lively online discussion on the topic, “Open Access Publishing in the Humanities” from 3-4 pm EST on Wednesday, April 25th. The discussion will take place via the Zoom system hosted by H-Net and will also be recorded and archived for future use. It is free of cost to attendees. Two Discussion Guides/Leaders will lead the discussion. They will briefly outline what they think are the most critical issues today for open access in the humanities and what their respective institutions are doing in that field. Participants will be able to ask questions and provide comments on any related topic, including partnerships between humanities subject librarians and faculty regarding OA publishing, challenges to the development of OA in the humanities, successful initiatives, etc. Our two Discussion Guides are Dr. Seth Denbo, Director of Scholarly Communication and Digital Initiatives at the American Historical Association and Ms. Sarah McKee, Senior Associate Director for Publishing at the Bill and Carol Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry, Emory University.
