Join us for the Expedition
Hello H-Westers. My colleague Brent Olson and I are planning in earnest: the Westminster Expedition, a semester-long academic road trip around the West for Fall 2017. The Expedition includes four linked courses in Environmental Studies and History (described in the link). It will include 16 students, 2 faculty, and 1 post-baccalaureate assistant. The 19 of us will travel via vans or bus visiting a great variety of sites and meet with scholars, activists, Native leaders, and public lands managers; and have difficult conversations about complex issues facing the West today.

We'd love to have our students meet scholars and teachers – that's you! - in the field. Or have your recommendations for places to visit, things to read, people to talk to.
If you're interested (and some of you are already signed up) please reply off list to Jeff Nichols and we'll send you a detailed itinerary. Almost nothing is set in stone but will rapidly harden.
