The biennial Ronald T. and Gayla D. Farrar Award in Media & Civil Rights History recognizes the best journal article or chapter in an edited collection on the historical relationship between the media and civil rights.
 
Nominations, including self-nominations, for the 2023 award are being accepted for scholarship published in 2021 and 2022.
 
The recipient will receive a plaque and a $1,000 prize, and will present the scholarship in a featured address at the 2023 Media & Civil Rights History Symposium, March 30-31, 2023, at the University of South Carolina. To nominate, visit https://bit.ly/sjmc-farrar.
