Query: British journalists working in New York in the early 20th century

Ben Yagoda, a writer and professor, asked me to ask JHistory members about turn of the 20th century British-born journalists working in New York.  See below. Thanks!

I’m trying to come up with the names of at least a couple of British-born journalists who were working in New York around the turn of the (twentieth) century. Does anybody come to mind, or any suggestions on where I might look?
