intense interiors: is a peer-reviewed symposium about utilizing the cinematic lens as a vehicle to expand and explore innovative modalities for thinking and making.
Todd Haynes' 1995 film Safe, Jose Saramago's 1995 book, Blindness and, later adapted for film in 2008 and a sound installation in 2020, the 1966 book by Harry Harrison, Make Room! Make Room! later adapted into a film in 1973, Soylent Green is part of this year's symposium selections.
This event will be hosted by Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto, CA, on May 6 & 7, 2023.
