Seeking panelists for AHA 2018 session
I just joined H-Education, or I would have posted this sooner.
I'm proposing a Formal Session for the 2018 AHA Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. on the topic of Race, Ethnicity, and Nationalism in Education History. (The conference theme is Race, Ethnicity, and Nationalistm in Global Perspective.)
If you're interested in participating as a presenter giving a 15-minute presentation, please contact me a.s.a.p. at sherry.boschert@gmail.com. Time is short -- the deadline for proposals is Feb. 15, so I'll need an abstract (max 300 words) and biographical paragraph (max 250 words) from you before then.
I'd like to present on "Countering Sex Discrimination in Education: Intersectionality in Title IX History." Another potential panelist may speak about "School Boards, Title IX, and the History of American Nationalism." Two other potential speakers are researching intercultural or multinational topics from the WWII era but have not yet confirmed participation. (Maximum 4 speakers and a commentator.)
This will be my first time at the AHA meeting. I'm looking forward to it, and to hearing from some of you.
