Some of you may be interested to know that the translation of a page from a 15th century Italian manuscript has identified the plant known vernacularly as the lotus. Much of the manuscript is about herbal plants used for medicine and food with regard to human reproduction. The remainder of the manuscript concerns therapies and treatments in relation to reproduction in accordance with Medieval belief systems.
