H-War seeks a new network editor to join the current editorial group. H-War is a collaborative and growing network focused on the scholarly pursuit of military history. It has a thriving book review program and frequent and active discussions of a diverse range of military history topics. Network editors moderate the discussions, assist subscribers, and help build content on the network, working in concert with each other and with the H-War Advisory Board. In addition, there’s plenty of space for putting together projects and initiatives in your own area of interest (as editors have done with the Military History Digest https://networks.h-net.org/node/12840/blog/Military%20History%20Digest, the Hand Grenade of the Week blog https://networks.h-net.org/node/12840/blog/Hand%20Grenade%20of%20the%20Week, and the H-War Twitter account: @HNetWar ).
Applicants can be any rank of ABD or above and those with an interest in military history (broadly defined) are strongly preferred. Candidates must be approved by the H-War Advisory Board, the H-Net Executive Council, and will initially serve for a two year term (with potential for renewal).
Send a one page CV and statement of interest to firstname.lastname@example.org by July 25.
