The Rocky Mountain Military Affairs Society presents a free public lecture, "The View from the Turret:  The 743rd Tank Battalion during World War II, by Dr. William Folkestad, Dean, College of Humanities and Soc. Sciences, CSU-Pueblo.  William Folkestad, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at CSU–Pueblo, received his doctorate in medieval studies from the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington in 1992. He has published two peer-reviewed books with World War II as their subject: The View from the Turret. The 743d Tank Battalion during World War II, and a biography titled Panzerjager Tank Hunter. He is currently completing a book-length manuscript highlighting select cultural, political, and technological changes resulting from the French experience of the Hundred Years War (1337-1453).
