CFP Tuskegee University Conference

Le'Trice Donaldson Discussion
We are excited to announce the History Undergraduate Research Symposium (HURS) at Tuskegee University, on February 9-10, 2017. This year’s theme is: Sacred Ground: Excavating Sites of Black Memory.

Tuskegee University has a long history of promoting, preserving and disseminating Black history and culture. The History Department aims to re-center Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) as grounds of rigorous historical inquiry, research and community engagement. The symposium seeks to build strong networks of aspiring students and promote professional training, historical competency and intellectual collaboration.

HURS is a history conference and encourages students who are pursuing history degrees to submit an abstract. We also welcome submissions from other disciplines such as Africana Studies, Culture Studies, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Behavioral Sciences and Museum Studies.
