Research Grants at the Moravian Archives

Sometimes you need a little extra support to make a trip to Bethlehem in order to do research at the Moravian Archives. Starting 2017, small research grants will be available for the first time.

The Rev. Vernon H. Nelson Fund was established in 2011 to provide grants to researchers toward their expenses related to their research at the Moravian Archives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Nelson was archivist from 1961 until 2004.

Fellowship: Graduate Research Fellowship at the Center for Jewish History

The Center for Jewish History offers ten-month fellowships to doctoral candidates to support original research using the collections of the Center’s partners – American Jewish Historical Society, American Sephardi Federation, Leo Baeck Institute, Yeshiva University Museum, and YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.

Fellowship: Prins Foundation Postdoctoral and Early Career Fellowship for Emigrating Scholars at the Center for Jewish History

The Center for Jewish History offers research fellowships that provide access to the collections of the Center’s partners – American Jewish Historical Society, American Sephardi Federation, Leo Baeck Institute, Yeshiva University Museum, and YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.

While in residence at the Center, fellows participate in a lively academic community, engaging and producing new scholarship in Jewish studies and other fields.

2017 JDC Archives Fellowship Program

The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) Archives invites applications for its 2017 fellowship program. In 2017, 5-6 fellowships will be awarded to senior scholars, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and independent researchers to conduct research in the JDC Archives, either in New York or in Jerusalem.
