Veteran Employment Training Services Inc. (V.E.T.S. Inc) is a non-profit organization that was established in order to assist with veterans’ integration to civilian life through education and job training. While most of our work revolves around employing veterans and assisting them in their career goals, we are also charged with the task of educating civilians on veteran affairs and circumstances. As such, we are currently looking for more historical/academic articles regarding veteran or military history to post on our website. Any submissions should meet the following guidelines:
Between 1,000 and 1,500 words
Must pertain to veteran and/or military history
Be void of political views or bias of any kind
Please do not include any foot or endnotes, or a bibliography
Please cite all materials in text.
For example: As John Elliot explained, “History shows us that people who end up changing the world are always nuts, until they are right, and then they’re geniuses.”
May include any suggested readings at the end
Readable by the public (please include definitions of any “unfamiliar”words)
All submissions will be reviewed for accuracy, style, and content. A decision regarding your article will be provided within one month of your submission. If we decide to use your submission on our website, you will be informed and, of course, credited with your work.
Please note that these postings are unpaid. As such, there will be no compensation for accepted submissions. Nevertheless, authors who have their submissions accepted will be able to put themselves down as a contributor for our website on their CV and/or Resume.
Send all submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Article Submission” in the subject. Also, please include a CV or Resume with your submission.
We will be accepting submissions for our Spring/Summer Posts until March 1, 2018.
