Pooja Satyogi's Review of Ahmed, Talat, Mohandas Gandhi: Experiments in Civil Disobedience, has captured the gist of Gandhi's portrayal by Talat Ahmed. She has been rather kind on the author as she doesn't say that the author has continued with the colonialists' view of Gandhi's actions as aimed at preserving the colonial order. Gandhiji was all for the overthrow of the decaying order. He was willing to mobilize people for its final overthrow, but never by violence, which would have made it more liked by the western educated elites of the subcontinent
Gandhiji was all for change to a more indigenous system of political order as enunciated by him and later implemented in post-Independent India- Panchayati raj System(PRI)- village swaraj or village republics.
