Meet the Editors
Christina Morina is DAAD Visiting Assistant Professor at the German Studies Institute Amsterdam. Her research focuses on major themes in nineteenth and twentieth century German and European history, such as war, memory, political ideologies, particularly the history of Marxism, and the history of historiography. She received a doctorate from the University of Maryland in 2007. Her dissertation was published as Legacies of Stalingrad: Remembering the Eastern Front War in Germany since 1945 (Cambridge: CUP, 2011, paperback 2013). In 2017, her second monograph (Habilitation) entitled Die Erfindung des Marxismus. Wie eine Idee die Welt eroberte was published (München: Siedler). Most recently, she co-authored Zur rechten Zeit. Wider die Rückkehr das Nationalismus (Berlin: Ullstein, 2019, with Norbert Frei, Franka Maubach and Maik Tändler). She has founded the network “SPD-Geschichte” (email@example.com) and serves as co-chair of the Working Group „Memory and Populism“ within the Memory Studies Association.
