CALL FOR PAPERS
University of Toledo History Colloquium
Department of History
University of Toledo
17 November 2016
The Alpha Kappa chapter of Phi Alpha Theta at the University of Toledo invites advanced undergraduate students and graduate students in history to participate in an all-day colloquium at the Toledo campus. The goal of the colloquium is discussion and peer review of research in progress for capstone projects, senior theses, Master of Arts and doctoral candidates.
The format will be three-person panels with a moderator to facilitate discussion. Each panelist will present a brief, ten-to-fifteen-minute overview of his or her paper leaving most of the time for questions and discussion. Advanced undergraduates are welcome to present posters or participate in panels.
Abstracts may be submitted on any historical subject, geographic area, and time period. A program committee will review submissions and determine panels. Full panels are welcome and must include paper titles and contact information for all panelists.
One page abstracts should be mailed to:
Secretary of Phi Alpha Theta – Alpha Kappa Chapter at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, 29 September 2016. Panelists will be notified by 17 October. Be sure to include your name, presentation title, institution, and contact information.
