Our list has been successfully migrated to the new H-Net Commons. This new platform, built on the drupal content management system, integrates discussions, multimedia, and reviews into a single service staffed by volunteer field experts. It builds on H-Net’s guiding vision of scholarly networking and gives us the wherewithal to create new material that serves the unique interests of the communities of practice we have spent twenty years cultivating. The Commons accommodates blogs, discussions, custom pages of dynamic harvested content, reviews, and various multimedia (film and video, audio, images, documents) that are indexed for reuse and display. (Learn more about the Commons.) If you were subscribed to the H-Teachpol listserv, you are now subscribed to its successor, http://networks.h-net.org/h-teachpol. You should have already received a system-generated email with your account information and a temporary password. If you have not done so yet, I would like to encourage you to log in and fill out your profile in order to facilitate exchanges between users and prepare yourself for contributions to our network. Please do this before you forget! Once inside your account you will also be able to set notifications and change your email address if needed. For more details, you can visit the Help Desk Network for tutorials and guides. If you have lost or forgotten your temporary password, instructions here will guide you to resetting it. Your subscription has been set to continue to send discussion posts via email in one daily digest generated around midnight. If you do nothing, these postings will continue. If you wish to reply or create a new thread, please log in first. You can manage your notification settings at your account.
