We are inviting applications from highly research-active candidates for full-time Assistant/Associate and Professor positions in History. We welcome applicants with specializations in Indian, South Asian, and Southeast Asian History, World History, Historiography, History of Science & Technology, and Philosophy of History. The potential candidate would be expected to teach foundational/introductory and advanced-level courses.
Requirements and Responsibilities
Faculty responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching, advising students, participating in faculty colloquia, and academic administration. A Ph.D. (completed or nearing submission) is required at the time of application. Additionally, we expect that a successful applicant will:
1. Undertake independent, high-quality research as well as work actively with existing members to build a robust interdisciplinary community of scholars who are committed to delivering cutting-edge research and innovation
2. Participate in curriculum development, student advising, and service at the department/school level. Experience in learning management systems (Blackboard, Moodle, etc.) and advanced instructional technologies to improve online and offline learning is highly desirable.
3. Demonstrated commitment to translating research findings into evidence-based practices, programs, and policies (wherever applicable)
4. Sustained commitment to social justice, inclusion, and diversity principles.
