The IHC — Institute of Contemporary History (NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Lisbon) has an open call for applications for three (3) Postdoctoral Research Fellowships, funded by national funds through the Foundation fos Cience and Technology and MCTES (PIDDAC).
The fellowships will have a maximum duration of three years, during which each of the fellowship holders must carry out a research project in the field of History, although they may also articulate History with other scientific fields. The project does not have to be limited to the study of the Portuguese historical reality or the study of the historical reality of Portuguese-speaking countries. It is not mandatory for the fellows to have skills in the Portuguese language, but they should acquire them during the scholarship period.
The specific topic of the project will be defined by the fellows themselves in the research proposal to be included in the application, under the terms defined by this notice. The specific topic will have to be in one or more of the following fields: Economic and Social History; Economic History; History of Economic Thought; Political Economy. The project may also articulate the referred fields with others, namely: History of Social Movements; Environmental History; Science and Technology Studies.
