2023 Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Article Workshop

The Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Program at Northwestern University’s Buffett Institute of Global
Affairs continues its series of virtual workshops to support early career scholars preparing an article for
publication by a peer-reviewed journal. We invite applications from junior scholars working in all
branches of the Social Sciences and Humanities on themes related to Turkey and its diasporas. The
accepted papers will be grouped in two and matched with a panel of experts who will read the works
and provide feedback at a virtual discussion forum. We will make an effort to include an expert of the
writer’s choice in this panel. The accepted applications will be asked to provide a draft of their work two
weeks before the scheduled workshop date. The frequency of the workshops will depend on the volume
of applications, and priority will be given to papers closest to completion. We expect to announce
another round of applications for the 2023-2024 academic year.

+Application Deadline: February 28, 2023
+Application Details & Form: The sessions will begin in April and continue through June 2023.

To be considered for this round submit your application, including a CV and 500-word abstract of your
article by February 28, 2023, through the Application Form.
