Dear H-Turk Colleagues and Friends,

We are excited to announce that The American Association of Teachers of Turkic Languages (AATT) new website is launched!  Please visit the new website, hosted on Wix, at the same web domain address: www.aatturkic.org

We hope that you will enjoy the new look and the following features:

  • Membership dues and donations can now be handled directly within the site! (Scroll down to find the membership category or donation amount appropriate for you.)  The elimination of Paypal means that our international colleagues can now more easily become active AATT members!  Please note that we have created a new International Member category for all those professionals who live and work outside the United States and Canada.
  • You can also support our mission by designating the AATT as your favorite non-profit (501c) organization on Amazon Smile.
  • The new webpage about our AATT Committees contains descriptions of each committee’s work and an online sign-up form so that any interested member can more easily get involved with committee work.  We are looking for new ideas and energetic AATT committee members!
  • You’ll also find all the information you used to find on our old website, including past AATT newsletters, the AATT Calendar, and announcements about upcoming events and scholarship competitions.

We encourage all current members to renew their AATT memberships via the new site, making sure to fill out the “About You” information form, so that we have an updated members directory.  Those of you whose current membership has not yet reached its year of completion will soon receive a separate email from AATT Treasurer Jeannette Okur regarding special onboarding to the new site.

If you are not yet a member of the AATT, we encourage you to become one!  Only AATT members will have access to the new AATT Resources Repository housed on the site, which contains pedagogical resources created by members, such as the AATT Grammar Modules, AATT conference videos, and more.

On behalf of the entire AATT Family, I would like to recognize and thank our Media & Communications Director Esra Predolac, Treasurer Jeannette Okur, Jessica, and Kaya Menteşoğlu, Salim Gürbüz, and Yasemin Akyüz for their hard work preparing this new AATT website for launch!

Feride Hatiboğlu, AATT President
