History of the Global South, conceptualized as regions inclusive of Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Islands, and the Middle East (Topical and chronological fields are open, with a preference for candidates whose research and teaching focus on decolonization, history of capitalism, ecology, environment, gender and sexuality, migration, science and technology, and spatial history): The Department of History at Florida State University invites applicants for a two-year (two consecutive 12 month contracts), full-time, non-tenure track, non-renewable position at the rank of Postdoctoral Associate. Ph.D. required and must be in hand at time of appointment. The appointment will begin in August of 2019. Salary and benefits are competitivie. The position carries a teaching load of two courses per semester-one large survey as well as a smaller lecuture course or undergraduate seminar.
